Pre 'amble' !

Having never completed a long distance walk in the UK, & what with Jayne wanting to complete a bucket list now she's 50 ;), we decided on the moderately lengthy Hadrian's Wall Path to 'conquer' this year.
A supposed 84 miles stretching from Wallsend on the UK's eastern side through to Bowness on Solway on the west coast, we were to cross 2 of the wilder counties in England, Northumberland & Cumbria......
